Vibrations and Wave Tutorial Models

written by Spencer Wheaton

The Vibrations and Wave Tutorial Models demonstrate how the superposition principle gives rise to wave phenomena, such as standing waves and beats.  The five models cataloged in this item demonstrate:

  • simple harmonic motion,
  • history graphs,
  • standing waves,
  • standing waves on an infinite string, and
  • beats.

You can modify these simulations if you have Ejs installed by right-clicking within the plot and selecting "Open Ejs Model" from the pop-up menu item.
