I have had problems trying to load Tracker 5.1.5 6.3.0 / 6.3.2
After starting the installer the following message arrives: 6.3.0 / 6.3.2 Problem running post-install step. Installation may not complete correctly Error running /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -domain local -domain system -domain user: # The -kill option has been removed because it was dangerous and no longer useful.
Once the install process is finished: There has been an error. Error running open ***unknown variable trackerapp***: The files /***unknown, /variable, and /trackerapp*** do not exist. The application will exit now.
These message came later after I tried to update Tracker but then I got message saying there was a problem with the Xuggle video engine.

Hi George, thanks for reporting this problem on MacOS 26 (Tahoe). It should be fixed in the next Tracker release which will be soon. For now you can still run Tracker by doing this after installation completes:
1. find the Tracker.app file in the hidden /usr/local/tracker folder 2. move or copy Tracker.app to the /Applications folder.
You should now be able to double-click Tracker.app to run it and open a TRK or TRZ file with the File Chooser. However, you may need to reboot your computer in order for the OS to recognize the TRK and TRZ file associations.
