Limitations on Using Tracker Analysis
1 Posts

Hi Doug,
I am new to Tracker and wanted to introduce students to using tracker. My experience has been using constant velocity and free-fall labs.

My question is in regards to sports clips and the possibility of how might students might use their own videos iplaying sports as an example. What are the limitations of using Tracker on student videos?

For example - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g67grsO68VM

The tracking was set on the athlete's heel. There are obvious inaccuracies here, but I just wanted to see if there was already a link that discussed limitations.

Thank you for your time,

I have a paper on how to get students to be like scientists using tracker.
In the Singapore digital library, we have lots of examples.
