Why a new equation appears when you double ckick in the last "Derivative" box? Of course it can be deleted but seems something annoying ...

Jose,
Well... It's a design choice. It saves you the effort of right-clicking and selecting "Add equation".
It's like getting a new paragraph when you hit return in a word-processing program.
But I agree it is arguable. :-)
