Hello Tracker users, version 6.3.5 is now available. This release adds two new features, both suggested by users :-)

1. Raw point mass positions can now be smoothed and displayed in a "filtered clone". Filter choices include Moving Average, Butterworth Low-Pass, and Savitzky-Golay filters.

2. Length, mass, time and angle units can now be set and saved for individual tabs. Default units for new tabs can also be set and saved in Tracker preferences. SI units are used when no preferences are set.

To upgrade, click the green "Now available" button on the toolbar and choose Upgrade Now. This will take you to the Tracker home page where you can download the full installer or upgrade installer for your platform. If you don't see the green button choose Help|Check For Upgrades. You can also download installers directly from ComPADRE at http://www.opensourcephysics.org/items/detail.cfm?ID=7365.

Happy summer! Doug

Thank you for the update, Doug! The new filtering options for raw point mass positions, especially the Savitzky-Golay and Butterworth filters, sound incredibly useful for smoothing out noisy data. Saving custom units for individual tabs will also save a lot of time during repetitive setups. Appreciate all the hard work on this tool!
