My video is 60fps and when I upload it to tracker, it gets darker than the original and will also only play 1 frame per second, even though on the clip settings the frame rate is set to 60fps. Any help would be much appreciated!
Hi Zak, Tracker is not a video player but a video analysis tool. It converts each frame of the video to a Java image so it can access the full RGB information contained in every pixel. The process of converting the frames can take a long time if the resolution is very high, especially on an older processor.
Setting the frame rate in the clip settings only changes the v and a calculations, not the playback speed. One thing you can do is to uncheck the Play All Steps box in the Video menu. But this will result in skipped frames if the image processing cannot keep up.
If you don't need to see every frame you can increase the step size.
If the playback speed is important you could convert the video to a lower resolution. But better to simply use a different application if what you want is to watch the video at full speed instead of analyzing it.
