This item is a Physlet based simulation of particle motion in a spectrograph. The user sets a value for the electric field, then may observe the trajectory of the charged particle as it travels from the uniform electric field to a region of magnetic field.

This simulation is part of a larger collection of Physlet-based illustrations and tutorials developed for introductory physics.
