This web page is an animation relating to orbital pathways. The user sets the initial velocity of an orbiting mass. One animation traces the path of the orbiting object and the other displays a simultaneous Energy vs. Time graph. Students can see a variety of resulting orbital trajectories, including circular, elliptical, parabolic, and head-on collision.
