This is an interactive homework relating to quantum physics. It requires the student to determine the 4th lowest energy level of an electron trapped in a three-dimensional cavity when the potential inside the cavity is zero and infinity outside.
A user-activated "help" sequence is provided for each step of the problem-solving, from conceptual analysis through quantitative calculation. Immediate feedback is received for both correct and incorrect responses. This item is part of a larger collection of interactive homework problems.
