With this simulation you can investigate how the spectrum of a black body (like the sun) depends upon temperature and wavelength. A slider control let you smoothly vary the temperature and observe the results.
The Blackbody Radiation Spectrum was created using the Easy Java Simulations (Ejs) modeling tool. It is distributed as a ready-to-run (compiled) Java archive. Double click the ejs_ntnu_BlackbodyRadiationSpectrum.jar file to run the program if Java is installed. Please note that this resource requires at least version 1.5 of Java (JRE). ![]()
