Website Detail Page

published by the Max Haynes
This website, provided by MaxAir2Air, contains a series of photographs of a Stearman biplane, both on the ground and in flight.  One picture, taken from inside the airplane,  provides a particularly good view of the wing bracing that prevents the wings from twisting when the wing flaps are raised or lowered. Another photo shows how the plane is landed on one wheel in a crosswind (using the torque from the wind's force on the wings).
