Check out this site to see great views of Earth and the moon, at whatever date and time you choose. It's quite interesting to think about these two views, the phase of the moon, and a diagram of the relative positions of Earth, moon, and the sun.

Date: 12/13/2005
Date Description: Earth and Moon Viewer Earth and Moon Viewer shows you a remarkable variety of images. For instance, you can see beautiful full-color images of Earth as seen from the Sun. This view shows the origin of the seasons, since you see where on Earth sunlight shines down from overhead, producing summer at that latitude and winter in the opposite hemisphere. Other views show vegetation and topography. Also, you can see a map that indicated the illuminated regions.
