Website Detail Page

published by the Exploratorium
Visit this Exploratorium site for an activity on how warm or cold objects seem to the touch.  Students can touch pieces of wood, metal, and Styrofoam; then order them by estimated temperature. Then conduct temperature measurements. The site contains an explanation of the observations and descriptions of insulators and conductors. This activity is part of Exploratorium's Science Snacks series.
