Each week this NASA/Goddard/Smithsonian site provides a new high energy astrophysics image, (captured in the extreme ultraviolet, x-rays, or gamma rays). You can get information about the object and the telescope that took the picture. Previous images are available in an archive, and nicely searchable by topic, with an image for each category.
