User Comments on Circulation Motion Simulation (1)Loading on Waterskiers in the Slalom Course
Author: Des Burke-Kennedy Great to see Irish Waterskier Rodney Watson featured on the Home Page today. Here is an interesting aspect which may be of interest. The Ski Boat passes through the Slalom Course at 36mph / 58kph. The Ski Rope is shortened as the Skier completes each successful pass around six buoys. The distance from the Boat to each bouy is 11.5m When the Ski Rope has been shortened to 14.25m, the Skier picks up a load of 800lbs each time he passes around the six buoys ! Top ranked Slalom Skiers are exceptional athletes. See www.iwsf.com
