Alice White's Job:
In her current job,  White wears two hats. One hat is that of a physicist,  doing research on projects. White enjoys being a researcher for a corporation. It gives you a lot of flexibility, " White said. "I've had a chance to learn many things."

The other hat she wears is that of team manager. She attends meetings and reports on the teams progress to management,  and relays the managements expectations to the team.

My Previous Jobs:
Right after her postdoctoral training at bell,  White discovered a new technique known as mesotaxy. Mesotaxy is a method for growing metal within silicon. This work made in easier for manufacturing connections within electronics.

Alice White

Biography:

Alice White was born in Berkley Heights,  New Jersey. Her father was also a physicist fro Bell Labs. She attended Middlebury College in Vermont. During the summers for her sophomore,  junior,  and senior years,  White worked as an intern for Bell Labs as part of their Bell Laboratories Summer Research Program for women and minorities. After graduation from Middlebury,  she was awarded a fellowship from the Bell Laboratories Graduate Research Program for Women. She went on to earn her Ph.D. from Harvard.

White is married to another Bell Labs Physicist,  and has two daughters.
