Gordon Thomas' Job:
He collaborates with Dr. Richard Greene of NJIT and Dr. Robert Fechtner,  director of the glaucoma division at UMDNJ-Newark Jersey Medical School on devices to prevent blindness through the New Jersey Vision Technology Center.  In his classes,  students learn the principles of physics by doing demonstrations.

My Previous Jobs:
He worked as a researcher at Bell Laboratories,  studying the optical communications that helped develop the purest optical fiber. After Bell Laboratories,  he worked on biophysics research at MIT. And now,  as a physics professor at NJIT.

Biography:

He has earned his PhD in Physics.  Has acquired 16 patents and published 150 research papers. For these achievements,  he was named a Fellow of the American Physical Society,  an honor given only to the leading 3 percent of physicists in the nation.
