The Astronomy Center has provided educational resources to introductory astronomy educators since 2003. Over the past 20 years, the rapid pace of discovery has rendered some of our linked resources obsolete. Thus, the Astronomy Center will be decommissioned on March 1, 2022. Our highest quality resources will be retained on ComPADRE.org.

This collection of questions and resources covers telescopes and astronomical instruments. The questions are designed to be used for in-class student engagement activities. Topics include refraction, reflection, telescopes of different types and focal arrangements, powers of a telescope, CCDs and spectrographs. Flash illustrations are used to help illustrate the concepts being studied.
This is part of a larger collection of similar astronomy modules from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. This entire collection covers most of the topics found in most undergraduate introductory astronomy courses.
