The Astronomy Center has provided educational resources to introductory astronomy educators since 2003. Over the past 20 years, the rapid pace of discovery has rendered some of our linked resources obsolete. Thus, the Astronomy Center will be decommissioned on March 1, 2022. Our highest quality resources will be retained on ComPADRE.org.

published by the Space Telescope Science Institute, Formal Education Group
written by Richard White
The Multi-Array Galactic Plane Imaging Survey collects bits and pieces of the Galactic sky that have been imaged at high resolutions. It contains images from VLA, XMM Newton, GLIMPSE Spitzer and MSX. The website allows users to extract a section of an image from the different surveys at multiple frequencies. It also contains a publications page and catalogs constructed from radio images and other data.
