Over the past 20 years, the rapid pace of discovery has rendered some of our linked resources obsolete. Thus, the Astronomy Center will be decommissioned on March 1, 2022. Our highest quality resources will be retained on ComPADRE.org.
This website, containing information from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, provides projects and activities for astronomy students. This section teaches students about the colors of stars and galaxies. Topics about light that this website focuses on is: magnitude, color, the electromagnetic spectrum, wavelength, frequency, filters, temperature, peak wavelengths, constructing color-color diagrams, and spectra.
