The Astronomy Center has provided educational resources to introductory astronomy educators since 2003. Over the past 20 years, the rapid pace of discovery has rendered some of our linked resources obsolete. Thus, the Astronomy Center will be decommissioned on March 1, 2022. Our highest quality resources will be retained on ComPADRE.org.
An online paper by Gary Felder on the standard expanding universe. The major points cover the possibility of an infinite or finite universe, the history of our universe and how it has evolved, and he finishes by discussing wheter the fate of our universe is one that expands and eventually grows cold or the possibility that it will end in a big crunch.
