Abstract Title: Physics Experiments for an Introductory Electronics Course
Abstract: This poster describes a collection of simple physics experiments for use in an introductory electronics course for physics majors. The experiments cover topics in mechanics, heat, sound, electricity/magnetism, and light. Some require only 15 minutes and simple test instruments. Others are mini projects that involve some construction and a microcontroller, and may require three hours for a student working alone. These experiments provide interesting ways to introduce students to electronics and to review material already studied, and demonstrate that even an introductory-level understanding of electronics is useful in the physics laboratory.
