written by
Harvey Gould, Jan Tobochnik, Wolfgang Christian, and Anne Cox
The STP MonteCarloEstimation program estimates the area under the curve given by the square-root of (1-x^2) between 0 and 1 using the Monte Carlo hit and miss method.
STP MonteCarloEstimation is part of a suite of Open Source Physics programs that model aspects of Statistical and Thermal Physics (STP). The program is distributed as a ready-to-run (compiled) Java archive. Double clicking the stp_MonteCarloEstimation.jar file will run the program if Java is installed on your computer.
