Physlet Quantum Physics - Special Relativity ` - Jul 28, 2020

This chapter of Physlet Quantum Physics provides simulation-based interactive resources that illustrate the basic concepts of special relativity.

Scienceface.org ` - Jul 1, 2020

A collection of 15 minute interviews of research scientists studying black holes.

Spacetime 101 ` - Sep 3, 2013

This web site provides short and simple illustrated descriptions of relativity concepts, from ancient Greeks to General Relativity.

Relativity Metric Program ` - Jun 20, 2012

The Relativity Metric program displays the effect of relative motion on the spatial and temporal separation of events in special relativity. The events, with adjustable separations in time and space, are shown in two different reference frames.

Ejs Simultaneity Model ` - Jun 15, 2012

This EJS program displays the effect of relative motion of observers on the relative ordering of events.  The wave source and two equidistant detectors are at rest in reference frame S', which moves with constant velocity, v, in frame S.

On the Electrodynamics of Moving Bodies ` - Jun 29, 2010

This is an English translation of the 1905 paper by Albert Einstein on Special Relativity. Additional resources on special and general relativity are attached.

GR Schwarzschild Light Program ` - Apr 2, 2010

The GR Schwarzschild Light program simulates the path of light around a black hole using the Schwarzschild metric.  It also displays a plot of the effective potential of light in the vicinity of a black hole. The default setting is a light trajectory that escapes the black hole.

LIGO: Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory ` - Apr 1, 2010

LIGO is hoping to achieve the first direct detection of gravitational waves.  They are ripples of spactime curvature, propagating at the same speed as light, and are a key prediction of General Relativity.
