Circular Well Model
written by Wolfgang Christian
The Circular Well model displays the 2D energy eigenstates of a particle trapped in a very deep two-dimensional circular well.  Because the Schrödinger equation for this system is separable into radial and angular differential equations, the solution can be expressed as a product of a Bessel function and and a complex exponential.

The Circular Well model is distributed as a ready-to-run (compiled) Java archive.  Double clicking the ejs_qm_CircularWell.jar file will run the program if Java is installed.  You can modify this simulation if you have EJS installed by right-clicking within the plot and selecting "Open EJS Model" from the pop-up menu item.

Please note that this resource requires at least version 1.5 of Java.
