This is a lesson plan appropriate for high school and middle school on the topic of light reflection from a mirror surface.  Students predict where two people must stand so each can see the other's reflection in the mirror.  They then measure the angles of incidence and reflection based upon the actual image reflection.  The activity requires only a mirror, paper, and masking tape for set-up.  It also contains a Java simulation on angles of reflection.

Topic: Nature and Behavior of Light
Unit Title: Ray Optics -- Reflection and Refraction of Light

An inquiry-based activity designed to help students understand the Law of Reflection (the angle of the incoming incident light ray equals the angle of the reflected ray).  The only materials required are a mirror, paper, and masking tape.  The web page also includes a Java simulation on angles of reflection.
