The Web Optics Project provides an extensive set of 3D simulations of optics experiments.  A wide range of systems can be modeled, including interference and diffraction, lenses, reflection and refraction, the eye, and lasers.  Parameters can be adjusted over a wide range of values.  The actions of a user can be recorded in scrips for later playback. In addition of the simulation, and extensive menu of tutorials, exercises, pictures, and videos are provided.

WebTOP only works with 32-bit Java

WebTOP is an excellent program for displaying optics in 3-d.  I still us it in my optics class.

It works beautifully with 32-bit Java, but will not work properly with 64-bit Java. Windows 11 will run 32-bit Java if the 32-bit version of Java is installed.  MacOS since 10.8 only have 64 bit Java native.  However, PC emulators for MacOS such as UTM can run Windows with 32-bit Java.
