This applet simulates the motion of two rolling balls, in gravity, moving through different paths.  The goal of the applet is to use simple principles to determine which ball travels a certain horizontal distance fastest. This applet is based on a demonstration developed by Prof. Berg at the Dept. of Physics, University of Maryland.
