This is a short biography of George Ohm, the 19th-century German physicist who formulated Ohm's Law, which describes the mathematical relationship between electrical current, resistance, and voltage. Ohm took a mathematical approach to electricity and magnetism, at a time when most of his peers were relying much more on lab experimentation. Read about his perseverance in the face of significant adversity and initial poor reception to his theory by scientific peers.
