The Point Charge Forces in Two-Dimensions model investigates the electric force that a charged particle experiences in a two-dimensional situation, because of four other nearby charged particles. The net electric force is shown as an arrow attached to the particle. Note that each particle can be dragged around the screen.
The Point Charge Forces in Two-Dimensions was created using the Easy Java Simulations (EJS) modeling tool. It is distributed as a ready-to-run (compiled) Java archive. Double clicking the ejs_bu_Point_Charge_Force_2D.jar file will run the program if Java is installed.
Please note that this resource requires
at least version 1.5 of Java (JRE).
