How to change the shape of the crosshair/cursor?

I'm trying to manually track a ball as accurately as I can and it would be great if I could change the shape of the cursor when marking it, namely from the default square with a crosshair to a circle with a crosshair. I suspect this should be a feature as I saw a different cursor shape being used in a tutorial video (screenshot attached). I'd greatly appreciate if anyone could fill me in on how to make my cursor look like the one pictured. Thanks.

That round cursor is used when marking a key frame for the autotracker. I think it would be confusing to use it for manual marking as well. Also, balls in videos may have different sizes than any given round cursor and making a cursor with variable diameter would be difficult and only rarely used IMHO. So I'm afraid you're stuck with the square cursor for manual marking. Doug

Oh, I see. I still think it would be a neat option but I managed to jury-rig an easy solution for my case, so thankfully it turns out I didn't really need such a feature after all. Thank you for the reply!
