Hello Tracker users,

Tracker 5.1.4 improves the ease of saving Tracker projects (TRZ files) and managing local projects in the Library Browser. Also, the Tracker installers for OS X are now notarized by Apple for full compatibility with Catalina.

To upgrade, click the green "Now available" button on the toolbar and choose Upgrade Now. If you don't see the button choose Help|Check For Upgrades.

Full installers are also available for Windows, Mac and Linux from both the Tracker home page (http://physlets.org/tracker/) and ComPADRE (http://www.opensourcephysics.org/items/detail.cfm?ID=7365).

Thanks! Doug

Hi so after updating tracker to 5.1.4, when i open existing tracker projects it cannot detect the my video files. And when i search for video file manually in folders they show up as blank and cannot select anything.

It was all working fine before this update

I have confirmed the problem on OS X Catalina. Is that the operating system that you are using?  The problem does not appear to occur on OS X Mojave.

We believe that this is a Mac file permission problem that occurs if you already have Tracker installed and upgrade.   Try to delete the Tracker folder in the documents directory and reinstall Tracker from the dmg.  This fixed the problem on me test machine.  If that does not work, please reinstall Tracker is a directory that is not a subdirectory in Documents.  For example, try a directory named Tracker in you home directory.

Please let us know if you are successful.
