I've released a Tracker 5.1.2 upgrade that fixes some bugs, one of which caused an incorrect bare-bones menubar to be displayed after changing languages. I also added a mechanism to automatically update any cached Tracker library collections you may have to work with the new secure https protocol required by the physlets.org server that hosts Tracker.
To upgrade, click the green "Now available" button on the toolbar and choose Upgrade Now. If you don't see the button choose Help|Check For Upgrades.
Full installers are also available for Windows, Mac and Linux from both the Tracker home page (http://physlets.org/tracker/) and ComPADRE (http://www.opensourcephysics.org/items/detail.cfm?ID=7365).
If you plan to use Tracker in your courses this fall, please install this version in your labs.
I am having trouble getting this vers of Tracker to run on MacOS 10.14.5. Has anyone been successful in getting this to run? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Looks like the install is having trouble invoking the embedded java environment (see attached error):
