Tracker takes a long time to open and is laggy when stepping

Every time I open tracker it takes on average 15 seconds to open up, and when I am using the porgram it is very laggy when stepping back and forward in the video. When I am using my trackpad the program can only zoom in accurately, it does not let me zoom out.

I really like this program and require this for many of my physics experiments, but it can get very frustrating at time because of the lag. I almost two hours a couple of nights ago trying to work on 6 x 6-second videos.

If anybody can give me any tips it would be great.

I wonder if your virus protection is slowing it down?  What is the resolution of the video?

I have no experience with trackpads--has anybody else had this zooming issue?

Hi
Inge got the same zooming problem (amongst others...)
-> what I do is zooming very slowly, and if I need to zoom back, I use the toolbar
Not sure it will help, but at least you're not the only one
