Is it possible to track separate "fields" at the same time?

I have some recordings of a fish swimming in an open field test. It's a top down view of the fish swimming in an open area. The fish enters the field from the right hand side and is allowed to explore for roughly ten minutes. There are two things I would love help on:

1. Fields or Regions

I would like to create 4 "fields" or "regions" that track separately depending on if the fish enters them. For instance, the 4 regions would break the tank into 4 columns to track the amount of time spent in each region in relation to the entry point. Is it possible to do this? Or, would it be better to divide the data up by distance after exporting?

2. Stopping and Starting

The fish frequently exits the arena and returns to its starting location. I only want to track the fish while in the arena. If I don't mark the fish while outside of my desired area, Tracker will assume it has stopped moving, correct? Is there a way to "pause" a point mass and then start it again?
