I am using Tracker as an accident investigation tool.  There is all sort of security camera video out there that capture accidents or parts of accidents, all very useful to us investigators.

I have had very good success using Tracker with MP4 files, but I have a few AVI files that have caused me problems.  They are not very good resolution, but that doesn't seem to be the problem.

The files seem to bind up the software and shut it down, to the point that it just closes on its own.   I can't post the files here as they are part of an investigation, but could share them privately.

Might be a codec issue?  I suggest you try converting the AVI files to another format. FLV is one that Xuggle handles well.  There are many free video converters out there. Doug
