Hi guys,
I have installed Tracker 5.0.6 via the Windows installer on my WIN 10 PC.
After starting the program, I get the error message:
"No Video Engine - One or more video engines are installed but not working. For more information see Help/Diagnostics/About Xuggle."
If I do so, I get the message:
"The Xuggle video engine is not working. The cause of the problem could not be determined. Please reinstall Tracker (recommended version 5.0+)."
I already tried:
•Reinstalling it.
•Running as Admin
•Changed the default (bundled) Java Virtual Machine to the one installed on my pc.
•Read the threads
Tracker isn't work at windos 10 - a thread in the Tracker forum
Video Engine error - a thread in the Tracker forum
I will post screen shots of the problem as well as my settings.
I might have found the problem but I’m unable to fix it.
In the message log I could find the following two entries:
"Feb 08, 2019 9:33:18 AM org.opensourcephysics.media.xuggle.XuggleIO registerWithVideoIO CONFIG: Xuggle error: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no xuggle-xuggler in java.library.path Feb 08, 2019 9:33:18 AM org.opensourcephysics.media.xuggle.XuggleIO registerWithVideoIO CONFIG: Xuggle error: java.lang.Error: Xuggle unavailable"
Marked with stars in one of the screen caps.
It would be great if one of you has a solution for my problem.
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: I've deinstalled the new version and installed the old version (4.11.0). After a restart in 32 bit, I got the same error message.
"Feb 08, 2019 10:51:28 AM org.opensourcephysics.media.xuggle.XuggleIO registerWithVideoIO CONFIG: Xuggle error: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no xuggle-xuggler in java.library.path Feb 08, 2019 10:51:28 AM org.opensourcephysics.cabrillo.tracker.Tracker$4 run CONFIG: QuickTime exception: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException Feb 08, 2019 10:51:28 AM org.opensourcephysics.media.xuggle.XuggleIO registerWithVideoIO CONFIG: Xuggle error: java.lang.Error: Xuggle unavailable"
Note that I don't have quicktime installed, so that part is clear.
##########FIXED##########
I haven't found a real solution to the described error but I've been able to get Tracker to work.
After installing tracker uncheck the Launch Tracker checkbox.
Restart the computer and without starting any other program first start Tracker.
For me Tracker is then working just fine withourt the described error in the start log.
I hope this may help others.
