I try to analyse a video in mpg-format. If I start the mpg (720x576 pixel) in a player (vlc, windows media player) the player starts in widescreen format - no distortion with a width-to-height ratio of approx. 1.8. If I import the video in Tracker it shows me a width-to-height ratio of approx 1.3 (disortion). This makes it impossible to analyse distances and sizes. Is there a configuration item to adjust the width-to-height ratio in Tracker?
This happens with video formats that use non-square pixels. You can fix it with a Resize video filter (Video|Filters|New|Resize). I'm not sure what dimensions to resize it to but you might try 1024 x 576 which is 16:9, probably what you want. Doug
