Setting Java preferences to 32-bit

We recommend you open all types of videos using the Xuggle video engine, which runs in a 64-bit Java VM on Mac OS X 10.5+.
If you prefer to use the QuickTime video engine you can still do so. But you must set the Java Preferences to 32-bit. Here's how:
1. Open Java Preferences in the Applications/Utilities folder. 2. In the General tab, drag 32 bit Java to the top position (ie, above 64 bit Java) in both the Applets and Applications panes.
Note: you cannot use both Xuggle and QuickTime simultaneously on OS X. If you are using Xuggle, there is no need to set the Java preferences as described above.
