This simulation allows the user to investigate the interference due to two wave sources in a ripple tank. The user can change the wavelength of the sources, their separation, and their phase difference. By clicking on any point on the wave pattern, the user can observe the two wave trains meeting at that point. Color is used to show the path difference between the two wave trains.

This is a part of the "Learn Physics using Java" library of simulations.

Please note that this resource requires Java Applet Plug-in.
