This web-based collection contains a variety of interactive Java tutorials on concepts in optics and the physics of light and color. The tutorials provide a hands-on approach to optics education. Users are able to virtually control prisms, shadows, and microscopes to explore physical systems. Tutorial topics range from fundamental properties of light to the operation of sophisticated microscopes.
This resource is part of a larger interdisciplinary curriculum package designed to integrate fundamental principles of light, optics, and microscopy.
