This web page contains a simulation that allows users to explore resistance in a simple circuit.  Variables such as resistance and voltage can be adjusted to see the effect on the amp and power output (represented by heat) of the circuit.  Also included are instructional materials developed by the PhET project team specifically for use with this applet.

SEE RELATED MATERIALS BELOW for a set of homework problems with answers designed by the PhET team for use with Battery-Resistor Circuit.

This item is part of a larger collection of materials developed and maintained by the Physics Education Technology project (PhET) based on principles of physics education research.

Please note that this resource requires at least version 1.5 of Java Applet Plug-in.
