The author has collected 8 years of condensed articles from the New York Times that have physics applications. He added physics questions to the article and posted it online for students to answer. He used them for extra credit projects, quiz or test questions. The collection is made of approximately 700 items with about applications and questions for each. Topics include mechanics, heat, work and energy, simple harmonic motion, waves, and sound.
Editor's Note: The articles have been edited and stored in mhtml, a web page archive format, and will download in html. Solutions to some of the problems are provided alongside the questions. Teachers may wish to share files with students in an alternative format to ensure the security of solutions.
