This applet is an interactive demonstration of average speed and velocity. The user can click and drag a red ball around a coordinate plane, while average speed and velocity is calculated and available through the Data panel. The applet gives values for vector quantities in both polar and cartesian forms. A full lesson plan is available through the Help menu.
This item is part of a larger collection of simulation based physics modules sponsored by the MAP project (Modular Approach to Physics).
