This is an interactive homework problem for introductory physics students relating to net displacement of a bobsled completing a double-hill run. Given are mass, coefficient of friction, and height of each hill, students must determine the stopping distance once the bobsled reaches the horizontal plateau. A user-activated "help" sequence is provided to guide students through the problem-solving, from conceptual analysis through quantitative calculation. To promote critical thinking, immediate feedback is received for both correct and incorrect responses.
This item is part of a larger collection of interactive homework problems for introductory physics.
