This Java simulation experiments with a helium balloon, a hot air balloon, or a rigid sphere filled with different gases. The user can discover what makes some balloons float and others sink. Teaching ideas and activities are included.
Note: As of 2020, the PhET Project has partnered with Leaning Technologies to allow Java sims to run in a PC browser via CheerpJ. May currently not run on iPads.
