This webpage contains an activity that allows users to guide a charged object, or "puck", through a maze using the electric field created by point charges placed by the user. Options exist to control the mass and sign of the charge of the puck. There are four levels of difficulty that change the barrier placement. Barriers do not affect the fields, only define the path of the puck. The user can view a vector representation of the electric field, as well as trace the path of the puck. After each attempt the user may move the existing charge or place more charges and try again. This activity gives users an immediate experience with the interaction between fields and charges.
Please note that this resource requires at least version 1.4, Java WebStart of Java.
Students Love it
Author: J. Scott Wigenton They wouldn't stop playing. You can spice it up with fewest charges or fastest goal. They took it home and played it with their parents!!! A huge hit

Great fun
Author: Jeff Weitz Try to stop playing this game. Oh yeah, you learn about Coulomb's Law and superposition, too.
