Poster Title: Studio Learning and the Gender Gap in Introductory Physics for Life Sciences
Abstract: 2013-14 is the first year of a large-scale studio implementation in the IPLS course at Boston University. We have three large studio sections, and two lecture sections, will all students doing the same assessments. We report on differences we have observed between learning outcomes in the studio groups and the lecture groups, as well as the gender gaps we have observed in both the studio and lecture groups.
