APS Scholarship for Minority Undergraduate Physics Majors

| Description: | Any African American, Latino, or Native American US citizen or permanent legal resident who is majoring or planning to major in physics and who is a high school senior, college freshman or sophomore is eligible to apply. This scholarship carries a $2000 award for new recipients, and a $3000 award for renewal recipients. In addition, $500 is given to each physics department hosting a minority scholar. This scholarship is renewable only once. Scholars are paired with a member of the APS Committee on Minorities in physics as a mentor, as well as a local mentor at their institution. |
