| Description: | Because there are more career opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields than there are graduates to fill them, Penn State Behrend, in conjunction with the National Science Foundation (NSF), has created a new scholarship program for selected students with demonstrated financial need who plan to major in STEM fields. NSF STEM Scholarships will be available for incoming students enrolling in fall 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. The awards will range from $3,600–$5,200 per academic year and are renewable as long as academic excellence and program participation requirements are met. Preference will be given to women and members of underrepresented groups, but all are eligible. |
